College Concept
FFLC is a vocational school that specializes in foreign-language and international education.
We accept students from many countries around the globe as well as from Japan.
We are a Global Family!
We live in a world where the people of nearly 200 countries mingle and interact with each other. If we could learn about the differences among the various cultures, and be able to enjoy them, life would be wonderful, would it not?
Fukuoka, a compact city with a lively international atmosphere and abundant cuisine, is also blessed with natural beauty.
FFLC was founded in Fukuoka over a century ago, in 1902.
Since then, FFLC has developed into a college where students from around the world study foreign languages together.
It offers not only an international environment and global outlook, but also internships within a variety of enterprises, study-abroad programs at numerous overseas institutions, plenty of events involving the local and regional community, and a comprehensive student support system.
Everyone involved with the College and its students grow together as one extended family.
Here, every day can be stimulating, and you will come to feel that it is your second home.
There is a place for you here.
Features of the College
An international, multicultural environment
Japanese students and international students from over 30 countries attend FFLC. In this multicultural environment, language skills, cultural sensitivity and global awareness are refined naturally.
Language and career skills that are viable in the real world
As a vocational school for languages, we are able to offer classes that are practical. Our courses are aligned with career paths, teach professional know-how and skills, and educate global citizens who will thrive in the real world.
A variety of student and community-exchange events
Language skills and sociality are cultivated while having fun. Taking full advantage of the international environment, students are provided with numerous opportunities to interact, with each other during College events, and with local people during organized exchange events and volunteer activities.
A homey, congenial atmosphere
The atmosphere at FFLC is friendly, both among students and between instructors and students, allowing everyone to feel "at home." As implied by our motto--"We are a Global Family!"--FFLC is a College that can become your second home.
